There are not enough words to describe the cuteness factor on this one! If the little lady in your life loves princess ANYTHING... this is the rocker for her!
If you have more than one child... this is a great item to add into your household. With my 4 sons... this is PERFECT for us. It's so cute to have a little table for the kids. They can draw, do arts & crafts and eat there.

Designer Diaper Bags

I've said it before, and I'll say it again - there's a BABY BOOM going on right now! I know so many, many women that are pregnant right now! Some that due soon. Some that are due this Fall. And some who haven't even officially announced it yet! It's an exciting time!

With all this exciting baby news... I've been getting asked some "fashionable" questions. I have to say, I love it! There are some incredible products out there for expectant moms, it's so much fun to be able to check them out and spread the word.

One topic of conversation lately has been - DIAPER BAGS.

Honestly... I remember when I was pregnant with William, all I wanted was the coolest, most fashion-forward, chic diaper bag around. I ended up with a Kate Spade one... but I have to be honest, it wasn't big enough for all the stuff I needed (or wanted) to tote around.

The question became - where can I find a diaper bag that will also be 100% as functional as it is stylish?

Fast forward 5 1/2 years...

Here are my TOP 5 Fashionable and Functional Diaper Bags:

1. Momma Couture - They have an array of fashionable and functional diaper bags. My personal, personal favorite is the Satchel. The Satchel looks like a handbag... it's gorgeous! But... it's the room inside that every mom will love. Not to mention there's insulated pockets for bottles and sippys!
2. OiOi - Their combination of fashion and function is fabulous. I absolutely love this rocker chic - Studded Black Faux Leather Hobo.
3. timi & leslie - Their diaper bags are classic, chic and sophisticated all at the same time. You almost can't believe there's a ton of room available! My favorite is their quilted nylon, Camilla.
4. Liz Lange - If anyone knows how to combine chic style with function, it's Liz Lange. She's the expert at this... and I adore her! My absolute favorite of Liz Lange's is the Marlena Pebble Collection. It's absolutely stunning! I kind of like to call it the Birken Diaper Bag. ;)

5. Storksak - Every woman needs the essential black bag... here's your bag that doubles as both! It's fashionable, classy and the hardware on it is gorgeous!

Ed Hardy on Totsy for 50%

I am a HUGE Ed Hardy fan! They're on Totsy right now -- and at 50% off! Ed Hardy is chic and cool... as a mom of all boys, I appreciate their style. I cannot get over their bathing suits. As soon as my son William saw the orange one... he wanted it! It's pretty cool when your 5 year old son is looking online and picking out something for himself (and at a great price!).

These are Totsy Ed Hardy Picks:
And while you're shopping... look at these adorable Ed Hardy Athletic Sets and Tees!

DIY Bunk Beds

For the last month my husband has been working on a DIY project - BUNK BEDS! It's been a labor of love for 3 of our sons... they've buying begging for bunk beds for months and months. They all have been wanting to stay in the same room with other, with some elaborate bunking system. We caved! My husband finished the BUNK BEDS! They are AMAZING! He spent the whole week painting them this gorgeous navy blue... and he set the beds up for them to spend their first night!

We still need to fix the room up... but they are super excited to all be together! This is the first time they've all been in the same room together, and they cannot wait!

Essential Summer Wear for Girls: Sun Hats

One of my personal essentials as a mom is a sun hat for the beach and/or pool. It's so important to keep yourself covered... especially your face. I love to find some stylish and chic sun hats...
What about for little girls? Every little lady should have a sun hat. I was in Nordstrom yesterday and saw some of the most gorgeous sun hats for little girls. So - of course, I started scouring the internet for some gorgeous options...

John Travolta and Kelly Preston EXPECTING!

When I heard this news, I got goosebumps. This is such wonderful news for the Travolta family!
According to People Magazine, Kelly Preston is expecting a baby! After experiencing the worst tragedy a parent can face, the death of their son Jett in January 2009, there is finally some happy news for them... they will be expanding their family. My heart and prayers go out to them for a healthy and easy pregnancy!

"It's impossible to keep a secret ... especially one as wonderful as this," they say in a statement. "We want to be the first to share this great news with everyone that we are expecting a new addition to our family. Love, John, Kelly and Ella"

Family Fun Magazine - Balloon Cupcakes

I'm not a great cook, but I love love love to bake! Baking for me is very relaxing. I was searching online for some clever cake ideas when I came across Family Fun Magazine's online version. I found the CUTEST Balloon Cupcakes! This is perfect for a girls party or for a boys party.

Isn't that super cute? I absolutely fell in love with the uniqueness.

The best part was the instructions:
  1. Frost the cupcakes yellow, green, blue, and red and arrange them on a large platter or cake cardboard.

  2. Tape a length of ribbon to the bottom of each cupcake.

  3. Tie all the ribbons together and curl the ends as shown.

It can't get much easier than this. Another reason I loved this idea is because it can work with any birthday theme you have. I know so many mothers worry about matching the cake with the theme... we had a Batman/Indiana Jones party this past September and I just couldn't find anything that worked for both! This would have been perfect!

Mom Style: Best Dresses that Flatter

What Dress Flatters Every Figure?

This question comes up all the time. It's an important one because there definitely are dress styles that do flatter every kind of figure... it's a beautiful thing.

Here are 4 of my recommendations when looking for dresses that flatter any and every body shape:

A-Line:

An A-Line dress tapers out from the waist to the hem. It's called an "A-Line" dress because the silhouette reveals the edges of a capital A.

Belted Dress:

A Belted dress works because it actually makes you look slender (ahh... love this!).

Sheath:

I'm talked about the beauty of Sheath dresses before... they are such an essential to have in your closet! Just make sure you find a Sheath dress that fits your body perfectly. Make sure it's not too loose!

Slip:

Many people don't think this is true, but it is! The Slip dress does look good on every figure, as long as it fits well.

Reader Question: Personalized Jeans

I wanted to thank the Totsy reader who emailed me asking for my advice on finding a pair of customized jeans... !

QVC has customized jeans right now. No more hunting. No more trying on a gazillion pairs. You can personalize your own pair of Denim & Co.® by Personify jeans. The best part is that they're... $59.50 (plus $6 shipping). But think about that, you can customize the perfect pair of jeans for yourself for $60. For a someone like me... all 5 feet of me, this is heaven. Even "short" sizes are too long for me.

I'm loving this...

First you choose your color and fabric.

You choose a Fit - Classic or Relaxed.

You choose a Rise.

You choose Button or Fly.

You choose your Back Pocket Style.

You choose your Leg Style.

And then you fill in all your personal information (you know, the info you don't want anyone to really know!)

Then you add in more information about your measurements. It's that easy. It's pretty specific, too... even asking about your body shape, etc.

I love this idea... women's bodies change so much after they have babies, it's nice to have options like this out there. And with the price, it can't be beat.

Mom Fashion Advice from Carson Kressley

Carson Kressley is one of my favorite fashion personalities! He's just funny and sweet and nice and adorable all wrapped together. I had the opportunity to interview him yesterday (via phone) on behalf of Clorox about summer trends, must-haves for moms and what colors are hot, hot, hot this season!

When did you fall in love with fashion? You obviously have such a passion for it.

I was always fasincated with clothing. I grew up near Allentown, PA in the 1970's, my mom wore big costume jewelry. I remember my 1st day of kindergarten I wore a plaid leisure suit. Clothing was fabulous back then. I always loved looking good in clothing. When I moved to NYC, I started working for Ralph Lauren... one thing led to another. I definitely have a passion for it. Most of my training was on the job training, I started as an assistant and then to another assistant and you just work your way up and are able to meet people.

Actually, that's funny... my first job out of college was as Donna Karan's personal assistant!

Mine was as Ralph's brother's assistant!

Carson, what fashion advice would you give to moms?

I talk about moms and fashion on Look Good Naked. Moms need to dress and feel good about themselves. Moms are so busy with full-time jobs and taking care of their families that there isn't a lot of free time. Mom is the last person to take care of herself. My advice would be to still indulge yourself and make sure you have time for you. You still deserve to be sassy, sexy and cool. You need YOU time. My best fashion advice would be to take care of your clothes. Get a good Clorox Bleach for your whites. Build a wardrobe of classics that will work well with different looks. Don't save old clothing. Every woman wants to get back to their pre-baby body, your body has changed! Don't mourn for your old body, you're a new women and you have this new baby. Get rid of the old stuff that doesn't fit! Streamline your closets! Get rid of the unnecessary clutter.

What are some "must-haves" for Moms? What tops your list?

Your "Can't go wrong with" items...
Little Black Dress. If you're not into wearing a black dress, get a red one... a blue.. just make sure you have that little dress that can go anywhere.
White Blouse. This is classic to have.
Great pair of Jeans. Get a pair of jeans that work with your body. There are so many places to buy a great pair of jeans and at different price points. LEE, JCrew. Not Your Daughter's Jeans. once you find that perfect pair, buy a couple!
Blazer. Find a fitted blazer in either black or navy, you can wear it anywhere.
Cardigans. You can layer a cardi over a tank, a tee... add some color to your outfit with a bright cardi. These are great to have on-hand.
Black Slacks.
And then... with these key pieces you can, what I like to call, salt and pepper them with trends. Every season add a couple of trends to your wardrobe. Bright cardigans in violet, green, turquoise or yellow. Dress with accessories - the statement necklace, costume jewelry. You can find these items at super inexpensive prices, but they really add to your basics.

What are some GREAT trends right now for moms?

Right now we're seeing a lot of printed silk tops and tops with embellishments.

And what colors should we be aiming for this summer?

Spring/Summer right now it's still all about the PURPLES! It's been the #1 trend color. This season try softer lilacs. Yellows, greens, turquoise... these are definitely trendy this season. You know, coral is a HUGE color. It's really like a 1960's palette.

Spring Trends for Kids - Under $40

I love doing guest spots at my local FOX news - The Rhode Show - regarding mom-centric pieces. I recently shot a segment with my sons (nieces and close family friends) modeling some hot Spring Fashions for Kids.

So what are the trends for kids? For girls: florals, denim, color, stripes, nautical and ruffles! For boys: preppy styles, polos, belts, cargo shorts, classic looks. Plus - all the looks were for under $40 and got all the merchandise at my local T.J.Maxx and Marshalls.

Audrey's Totsy Pick of the Day - L'Amour Sandals

Totsy Picks of the Day from L'Amour Sandals!

I have a huge fan of L'Amour Sandals... they have the most gorgeous, fun and beautifully made sandals for girls and boys. The quality is amazing, which is one of the number #1 reasons why I love them! It's important to know when you purchase footwear (and anything!) that it's going to last. My boys certainly get a lot of use out of their footwear, so I need to make sure the sandals will last. Boys and girls don't like to stay still - they're on-the-go!

Our L'Amour Sandals sale is a HUGE HIT! I have my favorite pairs for Girls and Boys.

Girls - Since I don't have daughters, I got to pick sandals for my nieces! I had some fun with color for them!I just adore these Espadrilles for Girls!I love the delicate Daisy look on these flip flops!

Best Family Vacation Destinations

Throughout my childhood, we went on family vacations every summer. My parents had a "thing" where they never wanted to go to the same place twice. They wanted to make sure we got to see different areas of the United States, not just the same old, same old. As a mom of 4 myself... I can understand and appreciate this mentality. I want the boys to see many different areas and places... and learn from these areas. It's important to me. So... as we're embarking on the planning of our first family vacation of the summer, I came across an amazing article written by FavoriteFamilyVacations.com... it mentions (in their opinion) the top 10 Family Destinations. I thought it was very interesting to share... Have you been to any of these!?

By Erin Pagel 1. Branson, Missouri
This town is known for it's family friendly attitude. From live music shows to family fun centers to theme parks from the past, Branson, Missouri is the ultimate family getaway. The Branson strip is the family-friendly version of the Las Vegas strip with hundreds of theaters including renowned violinist Shoji Tabuchi, comedian Yakov Smirnoff (who boasts he's so funny you'll laugh your yak off), family act, made famous on America's Got Talent, the Duttons and Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede dinner and show. Don't forget Branson's family theme park and landmark, Silver Dollar City. The park, which takes visitors 100 years in the past, features 20 thrilling rides and attractions in addition to 40 shows and hundreds of shops selling old-fashion Ozarks craftsmanship.

2. Colorado Springs, Colorado
With awe-inspiring vistas for the adults and thrills of a suspension bridge, skycoaster and incline railway for the kids, the Royal Gorge Bridge & Park in Colorado Springs is a destination for the entire family. Rock climbing adventures and hiking and biking trails abound for the family looking for an active getaway and for those looking to simply relax, Colorado Springs offers pristine fishing spots, ornamented golf courses and one-of-a kind shopping centers.

3. Gatlinburg-Pigeon Forge Area, TN
For the family seeking adventure, Gatlinburg-Pigeon Forge is the premier destination. From white-water rafting on the Pigeon and Nantahala Rivers to monster truck rides to horseback exploration in the glorious Smoky Mountains to wild twists and turns at two amusement parks, Gatlinburg never disappoints thrill-seekers. When it's time for a breather, Gatlinburg offers a myriad of family-oriented shows, museums and restaurants.

4. Washington D.C.
Our nation's capital is a popular destination for families who desire an educational adventure. From monuments to museums to movie tours, Washington DC has much to offer. Give your children a chance to see where bills become laws and where history is made. DC isn't all learning however. Enjoy unique dinner shows and exciting schooner rides. Washington DC is a vacation you won't soon forget.

5. Myrtle Beach, South Carolina
Sit back, relax and absorb the rays on Myrtle Beach's sandy shores. Play a few rounds of golf at one of the 120 courses in the area. Take in a music show or treat yourself to an exciting dinner show. If you're up for a low-key vacation, Myrtle Beach is the destination for you. The kids and adults will love spending days on the beach and nights enthralled in family-fun entertainment.

6. Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Philadelphians know how to get, how to get to Sesame Street. At the only theme park dedicated to the lovable inhabitants of one of America's favorite streets, Sesame Place, children and adults can play and laugh alongside their favorite Sesame Street characters. After fun with numbers and letters, you can hop aboard a double decker bus to tour the city or Ride the Ducks--an amphibious vehicle which allows you to see the city from both land and water!

7. Salt Lake City, Utah
Ready for a snowy adventure? Take the family to Salt Lake City for extreme winter fun. Located in a triangle of top skiing destinations (Park City, Snowbird and Salt Lake City), the experienced and inexperienced alike will be able to enjoy the slopes. And, what better way to bond than over hot chocolate after a tiring day in the mountains?

8. San Diego, California
While warm weather and gorgeous beaches could sell San Diego alone, the city also has several famous attractions including the San Diego Zoo, Legoland and SeaWorld. Perfect as a winter getaway or as a summer vacation, San Diego has plenty of variety and is close enough to Mexico to take a leap over the border for some cultural fun and learning!

9. Snowbird, Utah
Take the family for a winter sporting adventure. Take skiing lessons together as a family and then hit the bunny slopes as you try to remember everything you've just learned. Relax together after a long day and plan to do it all again the next! While the name itself suggests a winter haven, Snowbird is just as much fun in the summertime. The Alpine Slide and the ZipRider are two of the attractions that make summertime Snowbird so much fun and not at all for the faint of heart.

10. Virginia Beach, Virgina
Experience this charming oceanside city by walking the bustling boardwalk, taking a day cruise or just by relaxing in the sand. There is plenty to do to keep everyone busy from the Air and Space Center to excellent shopping to Mystery Dinner theater. Virginia Beach is also only a hop, skip and a jump away from historic Williamsburg so together these make the ideal family vacation full of learning and relaxation.

Jennifer: International Fashion Reporting

For the past few months I have had the pleasure of working with Jennifer, our amazing intern at Totsy! I'm sure many of you know Jennifer from Facebook and Twitter. Well... as much as I'm going to miss her at Totsy for a few weeks - Jennifer is taking the trip of a lifetime! She's heading to London on May 25th and will be traveling around Europe for a whole month (lucky girl, right!?). When Jennifer is back from her trip... I'm going to start having her contribute to the Totsy blog because she gives such a fresh and different perspective to Children's Fashion and the fashion world in general. I'm so excited for that!

In the meantime (before she leaves!)... I have asked her to tell us all about her upcoming trip to Europe... !

Jennifer -

I embark on my exciting trip on May 25th from JFK airport. I will be flying AirFrance to Paris for a layover before heading to London. (Not a bad layover if I say so myself) Once in London I will be taking a tour of the city via a bus. I am so excited to explore the city and learn as much as I possibly can...while taking lots and lots of picture. I will be in London for 7 days. During my time I will have the fabulous opportunity to see a play- the sequel to Phantom of the Opera: "Love Never Dies." Along with shopping and sightseeing I will have tea at Harrods and also be given presetnations from top fashion companies:

Arcadia owners of Top Shop / Top Man

House of Fraser
Marks & Spencer
Liberty of London
Selfridges
June 2nd I will take the Eurostar to Paris and stay there for another 7 day! I will tour the beautiful city by a bus tour - I am so excited to see the Eiffel Tower!! Is there anything more enchanting? I have arranged to take a night cruise down the river and get the chance to see the Eiffel Tower being lite in the night sky! How romantic...if only my boyfriend were coming. But I'll have my best friend, look out Lauren! While in Paris I must see a ballet...(not sure which one yet), do some serious shopping and receive more presentations from exquisite companies in Paris:

Louis Vuitton

PrintempsGalleries Lafayette

Bon Marche
I will then fly to Pisa and take a bus to Florence. On our way we will pass the Leaning Tower of Pisa before arriving in Florence on June 9th. I will be spending the longest time in Florence so that I can attend a famous Trade Show, Pitti that will be going on while I am in Italy. I have so many fun activities planned for Florence! My first day, like all the other cities I will take a bus tour and then of course...eat pizza! I will visit a glove factory to see how Italian leather gloves are made, then take a class on how to make my own pair (I don't get to keep them) On June 11th I am taking a cooking class and on Saturday I plan to go horse backriding (wish my luck) then end my ride with a wine tasting (I'll need it) I cannot wait to shop the San Lorenzo Market...I heard it's one of the best! I will also visit as many museums as I can handle while getting some more fantasic presentations from department stores and designers:

Salavatore FerragamoAngela CaputiRoberto Capucci
Pitti Uomo: Trade Show that organizes some of the world’s most important fashion events: international quality clothing and textile fairs, communication happenings and cultural and research initiatives for the fashion system and fashion as the aesthetic expression and global evolution of taste.

I will make my return to NYC late on June 21st and bring you all my detailed travel stories along with pictures for you all to see....stay tuned til then!

What to Pack for YOU

What to Pack for a Summer Trip!

After packing for all of your kids... your husband (maybe) and getting the house in condition for you to be away for a few days (or many!), it's time to pack for YOU.

What's important to take and what isn't?

I've become the master at packing... with 4 boys, I need to make sure I have the least amount of items as possible, but items that still wear well and travel easily.
My suggestions:

Great Duffle Bag - You need a wonderful bag/suitcase/duffle to fit your items. I have the most perfect beige duffle bag that I use all the time for trips, it's the right size and it's easy to pop over my shoulder.

Shoes - Sneakers, flip flops and one pair of "dress" sandals or shoes. This was you have the sneakers to walk and chase the kids in... flips to flop around in and a nice pair for evening.

Little Black Dress - Find a beautiful tank dress that you can wear to the beach, or dress up for dinner out. This is so essential for summer travel.

Tees - Find cotton tees that you can wear throughout your vacation. Make sure they're comfortable!

Tanks - Same as above!

Capris - I love to bring one pair of capris that can be worn casual or dressy. Truly it all comes down to the shoes of choice with it.

Shorts - You need shorts for the summer! Casual shorts are the only way to go!

I suggest going CRAZY with the accessories! Necklaces... scarves... bracelets... they're the easiest things to pack and can change the look of an outfit in a second!

So have some fun and play around with color!

Here are some of my favorite BECCA Celebrity Looks... (my logic is, if we know what they're using... we're that much closer to that "perfect look!") wink, wink...
